Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine

The Mothership - Acutonics® Headquarters

After moving our offices to 35 acres in the rural high-desert mountains of Northern New Mexico our students began to affectionately refer to our headquarters as the Mothership. It might be the amazing nighttime skies, or that we are women owned and managed but the name has stayed with us. Our corporate name is the Acutonics® Institute of Integrative Medicine. Originally founded in Seattle, WA in 1997 as The Kairos Institute of Sound Healing, we moved to Northern New Mexico in 2001.

The creation of a balanced and sustainable life is at the heart of our work. Honoring the unique relationship to Earth our home planet we recognize that health is dependent on pure water, nutritional food, and a harmonic lifestyle in alignment with the natural world. The contract with Earth is sacred and it is the responsibility of each of us to work toward the protection of its diversity and to make choices that are sustainable. Through correspondence and sympathy the Earth and all the planets have a profound connection to East Asian Medicine, and the natural cycles of the universe. The Taoist and hermetic principal that acknowledges the inter-connections between all things is embedded in our practices and teachings; as above so below, as within so without, heaven, earth, and humanity are one. Or in the words of the ancient Chinese philosopher Chuang Tzu, all things and I form an inseparable unity

The primary focus of our work is sound healing education, and self-care for you and your family; through the application of custom calibrated Acutonics® Tuning Forks, tuned to the frequencies of the Earth, Moon, Sun and Planets to acupuncture points, trigger points, and points of pain. The creative and cross-disciplinary way in which we use tuning forks, the frequencies that we work with, and the depth of this methodology is unique to this work. In the therapeutic environment we also utilize planetary gongs, Tibetan Bowls, drums, rattles, and fine classical music that evokes the archetypal and mythic qualities of the planets.

The Acutonics® Certification Program is taught throughout the world. Our Senior Faculty members have completed extensive training in this modality. Many have years of clinical and teaching experience, and have developed specialized electives that complement the Acutonics® Certification Program. Donna Carey and Ellen Franklin work with small groups of students who are pursuing certification and have an interested in the use of sound vibration in agriculture.
