New Class! Acutonics® For Large Animals
Senior teacher and Acutonics practitioner, Kelly Haggerty, is excited to announce 2 more Equine Acutonics classes being offered in Key Center WA June 6-8 2008 and Olympia WA June 13-15, 2008. She will be co teaching with Judy Bernard MA,LAc. Kelly co-created the Equine Acutonics program with Ellen Franklin and taught the 1st class last year in Maryland. The class is designed to treat and balance both horse and rider. Kelly's 25yr health care background includes Occupational Therapy, Acupuncture/Oriental Medicine, advanced spiritual studies and sound healing. Kelly feels that this work is both a science and an art. She approaches horses with a strong emphasis on anatomy and confirmation with a goal of injury prevention and rehabilitation. Her knowledge of oriental medicine is directed at learning specific treatment protocols for horses and people to improve their physical, emotional and spiritual well being. She often receives feedback from horse owners, trainers, and competitors that they have never experienced or witnessed anything like this work before. Her goal is to help provide healthy avenues for horses and humans to evolve to higher levels of health and consciousness. When we truly tune in to the magic of horse the healing for both horse and human is profound.
New Class! Acutonics® For Small Animals
Senior teacher and Acutonics practitioner, Adona Bobbie Bay, is excited to offer the inaugural small animal class April 8, 9, and 10, 2008 in the Baltimore, Maryland area.
The class is designed for the treatment of cats and dogs, with a focus on common diseases and emotional issues, and their treatment protocols.
For those new to the Acutonics system, an introductory one day class is offered on April 7 to provide an overview and understanding of the system. Adona is developing protocols for our bird companions as well and also travels to teach the full Acutonics program to interested groups throughout the United States.
With twenty years of experience in the healing arts, Adona is the owner of both Stressless Sound Garden and Wellness Center and a second company, Cosmic Alchemy. She is also the director of Stressless Acupressure Institute, and is the co-creator of Spirit Path Vibrational and Cosmic Essences. Her vision of her company, Cosmic Alchemy, is to activate the power and transformational process within each individual and assist them in the expression of their authentic self so they may fulfill their divine potential. Planetary Lullaby—New CD & Hidden Codes of Life
Acutonics teacher and practitioner, Judy Bernard, has produced Planetary Lullaby, a relaxation or bedtime CD that may also be used as background music during Acutonics treatments. It features Acutonics planetary gongs--Mercury, Chiron, Venus, Nibiru, Full Moon, and New Moon, plus the rest of the planet frequencies from Acutonics Planetary Hand Chimes or Tibetian singing bowls. Available soon at the Acutonics store or email Judy directly, sanctuaryqi@hotmail.com.
Judy has been working with the Idea Foundation and hidden codes of life, which reveal spiritual purposes or contracts to help us discover why we are here and how we can help transform the world. "I have been using the Acutonics system to assist people in feeling the planetary frequencies within them, healing their wounds and awakening to the current mission at hand. There is so much information in the Codes that I have to re-read them often. I am always amazed at the divine information they contain; it is exactly what I needed to hear, to continue my path."
The Idea Foundation has created two YouTube videos, in the first by Pneuma-Yod and Guy Juarez (www.pneuma-yod.com) the gongs are played very low in the background. The second video, Gongs of Change, shows more of the planetary signatures. You can link to both videos, more information, and the hidden codes at www.triple7center.com or www.gongsofchange.com.
Judy has also added group gong meditation healings to her practice in Canada, Washington state, and Colorado. Her website is www.7keyssound.com.
New York City Debut Acutonics® Planetary
Gongs
Acutonics teacher, Maren Good, BA, CMT has recently joined visionary artist Alex Grey and his wife Allyson for their ongoing New Moon ceremonies in New York City. Hosted by the Greys at Alex's gallery, the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, the evening includes gong meditations and improvisational playing.
Maren has been using the Acutonics Planetary Gongs since
October 2005, first offering planetary sound
baths on the Winter
Solstice 2005.
"My musician husband, Michael, and
I invite a widening circle of people to the massage school where
I teach to share in an evening honoring the celestial cycles
with the planetary gongs. Because it’s about inviting family
and friends to attend, their three children often participate,
playing singing bowls while Maren and Michael play the gongs.
Maren offers a meditation, some history about the Music of the
Spheres, and historical/mythical stories on the equinox or solstice
being celebrated. "We play for about 45 minutes, and then
people stay for a little camaraderie with tea and snacks. Although
I don’t charge for these events, I’m always amazed
at the generous gifts offered in the donation box that is set
out."
Because of Alex Grey’s international
presence, their New Moon ceremonies draw upwards of 30 people,
and the Full Moon ceremonies 70 or more. Maren credits the gongs
with leading the way to an ever-widening circle of influence. "My
experience of being immersed in gong attunements at my Level
III-IV intensive in Colorado was when I knew that I had a calling
to take these vibrations out into the community at large. My
Earth gong (now showing a little wear) has gone to classes, trade
shows, conferences, and I have numerous requests to bring the
gongs to other venues, from an annual woman’s celebration
in the spring to a gathering of elderly people who are all between
80 and 90 years old. One gong is all it takes — but watch
out, it can be habit forming!"
Is
there a molecular basis for sound healing?
How exactly does sound affect the healing process?
Do our thoughts and emotions direct our biochemical processes?
Can we really change old patterns?
These
questions and more are answered in a new Acutonics course, The New
Science of Biology and Sound, developed and taught by Alicia Villamarin,
PhD, AP,LAc, CH. The foundation for the class includes the new science
of biology, the fields of cellular biology…and beyond.
Welcome to the world of Psychoneuroimmunology and Epigenetics – the
New Science!
- Learn the secrets of the cells and the mysteries of how thoughts,
intentions, intuition, and sound affect your body and your mind.
- Expand your ability to explain how sound heals, changes, and
transforms.
- Increase your knowledge of the wonders of acupuncture, prayer,
and visualization.
- Discover the facts that support what you've known for years.
The course begins with the study of the cell and the beautifully
complex mechanisms of its function. The ancients recognized that
cells were a reflection of the Universe…a hologram…as above, so below.
Visit how sound can affect the cell machinery.
Study how the neuropeptides actually direct the biochemical processes
of the cell.
Journey through the field of Psychoneuro-immunology and a systematic
study of body-mind integration.
Learn about the emerging field of Epigenetics and discover the reasons
for our difference from pigs and monkeys even though we have similar
genomes. We will ask the big question…is DNA fully responsible for
directing our lives or do the signals we send ourselves hold a greater
influence?
Pamela
Brady, BA, MA, LAc
has been integrating sound healing modalities into her acupuncture
practice for the past 15 years. She has traveled with her tuning
forks worldwide providing treatment for under served and impoverished
populations as well as those suffering from physical and emotional
trauma due to natural disasters.
Honduras…As part of The Honduras Healing Recovery
Project, Mela committed two weeks a year from 2000 to 2003 to treat
victims of Hurricane Mitch, and trained healthcare providers in
the basic use of the tuning forks so that they could continue treating
the widespread effects of PTSD in the communities most devastated
by the hurricane countrywide.
Cuba…In 2001, Mela visited an alternative health
clinic in Matanzas, Cuba. Since music is such an integral part
of Cuban culture, Acutonics found a warm welcome. In partnership
with The Kairos Institute, a full set of tuning forks and the book, Acutonics:
There's No Place Like Ohm, were given to the clinic for the
staff to study and use.
Bali…Early in 2006, Mela was invited to bring Acutonics
to Bali for a month. Living in a traditional bamboo jungle house,
she treated first responders of the tsunami relief effort in Aceh,
Indonesia and anyone else who was interested. Bali is the retreat
island for tsunami volunteers and they were in desperate need of
relief from the stress, anxiety, and deprivation from weeks of
working in the hot, humid, mosquito infested tent camps of the
totally destroyed Aceh coast of Sumatra. Interestingly, the Balinese
found Acutonics to compliment their ritualistic, musical, Hindu
ceremonies.
Tibet…Last fall, Mela joined the Gar Tibet Health
Project, traveling with a 13-member medical team to treat Tibetans
in remote, rural villages. Working out of a make-shift clinic in
a monastery perched at 15,000 feet, she provided acupuncture and
sound therapy to lamas, monks, nuns, and local residents. People
came from far and wide, desperate for attention. From elderly grandparents
to small school children, they were fascinated by the relaxing,
healing power of the vibrating forks!
War Veterans…Now back in Vermont, Mela has initiated
a free community clinic, one night a week, treating war veterans
and their families for anxiety, stress, and PTSD. Many of the vets
are being introduced to The Acutonics Sound Healing System and
they are saying they haven't been this calm or slept so well in
years!
The
Scratch Patch is a fun family experience... ...interactive gemstone
collecting that is educational and fun for the whole family.
The Scratch Patch is unique as it creates
a natural organic environment that inspires, and it is a treat
for the sense of sight and touch.
The Scratch Patch is a place where people
can have loads of fun “scratching”
for their favorite tumble-polished gemstones from thousands of
polished stones that cover the floor. Fill a bag with your treasures...you
only pay for the bag, not the type of stones or how many you
can get into the bag! These are special high quality stones imported
from South Africa.

Dahvid
Weiss, DOM, LAc, senior Acutonics instructor with extensive teaching
and practice experience, is now offering custom scheduling for
Acutonics education classes. Dahvid is certified to teach the entire
Acutonics core curriculum.
You can combine classes that you need to meet your requirements
for certification. Classes will be taught as tutorials unless several
people want the same classes and dates, so you will have the benefit
of individual attention. To arrange classes at a time that meets
your scheduling needs, contact Dahvid at equisol1@yahoo.com or
520-576-0003. Please provide first and second choices of dates
and times. The longer the lead time of preferred dates, the more
flexibility there will be.
"It is one thing to learn the Acutonics material
during a structured class curriculum, but another to have hours
to practice in a supervised setting…during these (monthly study
sessions), we review the curriculum and discuss individual cases
and design treatment strategies…we are able to actually perform
(supervised) treatments on each other…my confidence to use the
forks has grown tremendously. I look forward to each (study session)
with a wonderful enthusiasm." –Lisa
Fleming, Acutonics Student
Acutonics
teacher and practitioner Arlene
Myers of Mashpee, Massachusetts now
offers monthly Saturday afternoon study sessions for Acutonics
students and practitioners. At only $50 a session for five
hours of focused study, which includes a supervised hands
on peer treatment, Arlene offers an opportunity for practitioners
to deepen their understanding of Acutonics, build their confidence,
and train for specific and individualized treatment challenges.
Students who attended classes with other teachers find value
interacting with a new teacher and students they may not
have known before.
With 20 years' experience in clinical acupuncture, Arlene is beyond
excited from the results of her study sessions, "Everybody says
it's the missing piece! The value lies in the opportunity for students
to practice clinical skills; students bring current cases to discuss
and get treatment ideas. I can also introduce new treatment tools
and discussion topics as students' needs are identified. Students
can work on different levels and enjoy a journey through each of
the forks, enhancing skills and increasing practitioner retention.
These sessions are proving to be an incredible confidence builder.

Laurie
Herron and Katie Mink of West Coast Acutonics in Oakland, California have been leading monthly Acutonics forums since June 2004. Students
have come from all over the world for this exciting opportunity.
Open to anyone who has completed Level 1 training, their Acutonics
forums are designed to be a place of continuing education and exploration
of Acutonics. The cost is $35.00 for a four hour session
that includes topical discussions, participant selected case studies,
and an opportunity
to treat and be treated using fundamental Acutonics to the extremely
advanced level. With supervision and guidance, learning and understanding
can increase exponentially. Laurie specializes in Shamanic energy
work and Katie is a licensed Acupuncturist with a private practice
for the past 20 years. For more information, call 925-256-6769
or email westcoastacutonics@sbcglobal.net.
If you think you might benefit from treatment strategy review and
practice, point location practice, review, and enhancement of techniques
with the forks and other sound tools, and a more in-depth understanding
of Chinese medicine theory and its application to specific cases
or conditions, consider attending one or more of these study sessions.
* All three teachers have found these study sessions an important
component towards satisfying the required 100 hours of supervised
treatments for students in the Acutonics Practitioner Certification
Program.
